Whole Foods has the most extensive inventory of gluten-free products in Albuquerque. Without a doubt, Whole Foods has the largest variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and seafoods available in our city. If you can afford the prices that go along with the high quality and incredible selection, then Whole Foods could be your one-stop shop.
The Whole Foods closest to me has a mid-aisle shelving unit dedicated to packaged gluten-free products and also has them mixed in with their counterparts throughout the store. In addition to packaged goods, there is substantial freezer space dedicated to Whole Food’s Gluten Free Bakehouse, the store’s own line of gluten free breads and bakery treats. I have tried most of the Gluten Free Bakehouse Pies and they are among the best pies I have ever tasted.
Julie Vore, the Assistant Grocery Team Leader for the Whole Foods on Indian School and Carlisle, can be contacted by those who are newly diagnosed with Celiac Disease. During your scheduled appointment time with her, Julie will walk with you through the store. As you tell her about what you like to eat, she will point out the gluten-free alternatives. What an incredible service Julie is providing to the gluten-intolerant community!
Each Whole Foods location has a complete and routinely updated listing of gluten-free foods found in their store.
